Rates Rates range between $65 and $95 per hour, depending on the project. A three-hour minimum shoot applies to most projects. Travel time is billed at $35 per hour. Film, processing, printing, rental equipment, and other expenses are billed at cost plus 25%. The State of Washington requires that I charge sales tax on most invoices. In all cases I will give you a very accurate estimate of your project's cost, in advance. For larger projects, I ask for a deposit of 50% of the anticipated cost, and in all cases I require full payment before releasing film, contact sheets, or prints. Weddings average $750-$1500, including film and processing, depending on the location and coverage desired. Headshot and portrait sessions average $175, including film and processing. Film and proofs are always yours to keep. I do occasional pro-bono work for non-profit organizations that need print or web images.
